It’s time for the Wednesday Website suggestion!! For two years, I was the Technology Specialist at a school in Georgia. During that time, I amassed a large collection of websites that I use with my students. If you want to search through some of them, you can check out my IKeepBookmarks site. Or, you can check back here each week for the Wednesday Website suggestion.
While searching for fun, but educational games for my kids, I re-stumbled up on this great word game, called Word Wiz. It’s a two part game: Part 1 – kids connect letters to make words before the tetris-like letter tiles fill the board. Part 2 – if a question mark hits the bottom, the students get to answer a vocabulary question for bonus points. It’s a great game for kids to play this summer – one of those games that looks like it’s just fun, but actually works on educational skills too! Be warned, thought, it’s quite addictive. I sat and played for 20 minutes before I gave my sons a turn!
What’s your favorite “educational” game right now?
